I started working in my family business as an accountant before deciding that was not the career for me.
I moved into a position in a non-government organisation in country South Australia which allowed me to pursue a career in working with high needs and vulnerable people.
Upon returning to Adelaide I moved into a policy manager position in a government department before taking up my current role at Renewal SA where I work with South Australian Housing Trust tenants who need to move due to the redevelopment of their current house.
In a normal day I spend time supporting Relocation Officers as they work with South Australian Housing Trust tenant relocations. I work with various stakeholders to ensure we achieve a more efficient and coordinated response to tenants.
I also spend time looking to develop new and innovative practice.
I love working with a group of people who are all equally determined to deliver good outcomes for tenants, Renewal SA, the South Australian Housing Trust and the state government.
I also love meeting with the diverse range of people I liaise with on a day to day basis.
I have a desire to make a positive difference for vulnerable people, particularly children.
I have enjoyed good working conditions and the capacity to influence practice and policy in an important government program for vulnerable people.
As a South Australian, I love our lifestyle and the opportunity to do valuable work for our local communities.
