Education

Teaching is much more than 'just a job'. For many, it's an opportunity to see change in the world.

Sharing your knowledge and unique expertise with South Australia's young minds is a great way to contribute to the social capital of our state.

Education roles in the public sector aren't limited to teaching or working with young people.

You could be setting up laboratories for school science experiments, teaching English as a second language to adults at TAFE SA, or designing school holiday programs in our state’s cultural institutions. Whatever your area of expertise, the public sector can offer you a rewarding career.

Applicants with overseas credentials should note they will need to gain registration to teach in South Australia from the Teacher Registration Board of South Australia and that their qualifications may need to be assessed prior to commencing a role. Candidates will need to undergo criminal history screening and background checks.

For more information about teacher employment requirements and registration visit the Department for Education website.
